The children in Reception and Year 1 took part in the Widdershins rod puppet workshop. The children were given an introduction to the world of puppets. They then were able to handle a selection of puppets and learned how to communicate using them. They used simple gestures such as waving, yawning, crying, sneezing etc. During the last part of the workshop, the children had the opportunity to make a simplified version of the Widdershins rod puppets which they were able to take home with them. The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and it was lovely to see the children performing with one another using their voices and watching them bring their puppet to life.
