Year 6 make ‘Flour Babies’

After reading the book ‘Flour Babies’ by Anne Fine. The children put their D&T and sewing skills to the test to decorate their own bags of flour and give their ‘baby’ its own character. The children  then spent the week looking after their flour baby, taking it wherever they have gone and have made sure they looked after it during playtimes. We have had organised crèches and babysitting circles, which have been lovely to see. This whole project has demonstrated the children’s caring, nurturing side and has shown them all taking on and responding to greater responsibility and thinking of others.
