Reception, Y1 & Y2 - Author Visit

On Wednesday, Reception, Year One and Year Two had a visit from Su Murley, a local author. Su told the children all about the process of writing her book ‘Shirley Murley’, from first deciding who the main character would be, to then deciding she wanted it to rhyme and finally to adding in a tongue twister.

Su also helped the children to learn about the process of having a book illustrated and published. The children all really enjoyed the session and some of them told Su they have been inspired to become authors too!
