Thursday 3 October 2024 Knightsfield Sports Leaders On Thursday, we had a visit from Knightsfield School for the Deaf.

Thursday 3 October 2024 Year 1 - Crystal Maze On Thursday, some of the Year 1 children took part in an event called the Crystal Maze organised by the Stevenage Sporting Futures Team. The children had to complete problem-solving activities to earn crystals. They worked well as a team to complete the challenges and communicated effectively to decide on strategies. All the children represented Datchworth with a fantastic attitude and great behaviour.

Thank you to all the staff for arranging the displays for the evening and thank you to all the children for their incredible effort they have put into their learning this year. Friday 28 June 2024 Year 5 Lemsford Trip Last week, Year 5 went on a school trip to the Wildlife Reserve of Lemsford Springs. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and we did lots of pond dipping where we caught lots of things including fish, many, many shrimp and even an English crayfish. We were allowed to eat our lunch on the board walk with our feet in the water which was very fun. We are very thankful to the teachers, especially Mrs Lay and Mrs Clark for giving up their spare time to come on the trip with us and for organising the whole thing. Thank you.

Thursday 27 June 2024 Piano Recitals Some of the children who take part in piano lessons at school with Miss Coombe performed in a recital on Thursday. The pianists were incredible and for some it was their first time performing to an audience!

Friday 3 May 2024 Skipping Workshop Today was an inspirational and energetic day at All Saints. Pete Thompson from SkipBeatz shared with us his love of skipping and how it has changed his life for the better, allowing him to keep his body and mind healthy and to feel like a powerful skipping Ninja!

Thursday 18 April 2024 Woodhall Estate Visit - Year 1 and Year 4 On Thursday, Year 1 and 4 had the opportunity to visit Woodhall Estate at Watton-At-Stone, where they spent the day learning about wildlife and conservation. The children took part in a carousel of activities related to the wildlife and ecology at the Estate including: Woodland walk, bug hunting, food chains, forestry, ecosystems, den building and nature spotting.
